Pakistan National Team · International Space Games 2026
Join the MissionLab Network around Pakistan's ISG 2026 mission campaign
Universities, schools, technical organizations and selected international collaborators are invited to express interest in distributed MissionLab activities linked with Pakistan/IST participation in the International Space Games 2026 in Moscow.
Institutional EOI closes 10 October 2026. Submitting interest does not confer an approved Mission Node role.
01 / International context
A one-week international engineering mission in Moscow
26 October–1 November 2026 · Skolkovo Innovation Center, Moscow
The first International Space Games bring national student teams into a mission-style engineering environment at the Skolkovo Innovation Center. Organizer material describes an ISG Habitat Complex built around autonomous dome and simulated space-settlement concepts, where multidisciplinary teams work through engineering tasks under constrained mission conditions.
The wider event uses an autonomous habitat and simulated off-world settlement context. The Mars-themed modules below are Pakistan experiment modules within that broader setting.

Pakistan National Team — coordinated through IST
The ISG Organising Committee has formally confirmed the Institute of Space Technology (IST) as the reference institution responsible for forming and coordinating the Pakistan National Team.
Distinct responsibilities
IST / SSTRL — Pakistan mission and scientific experiment authority
CubeSTEM MissionLab — enabling Digital Twin, mission-experience and distributed mission software platform
03 / Pakistan software experiments
Two questions about mission decisions and evidence
Software experiment modules are being developed; this campaign page does not run their scientific protocols.
01 / SOFTWARE EXPERIMENT
MARS-LINK
Crew-Coordinated Delay-Tolerant Mission Operations
A software-based experiment examining how a crew manages time-critical Mars mission anomalies when Earth guidance cannot arrive before the decision deadline.
It studies a five-minute one-way simulated communication delay and bounded operating modes. The Moscow experiment package remains scientifically completable offline.
02 / SOFTWARE EXPERIMENT
TWIN-RESILIENCE
Calibrated Trust in Digital-Twin-Assisted Remote Operations
A software-based experiment examining how crews judge degraded raw telemetry against a Digital Twin or reference estimate when either source may be incomplete, stale or misleading.
Controlled evidence-quality conditions ask crews to seek corroboration. The Digital Twin is not assumed to be always correct.
04 / MissionLab Network 2026
IST Ground Support and distributed Mission Nodes
IST / SSTRL develops the Pakistan-side Ground Support / Mission Control activity around the Moscow campaign. Selected Mission Nodes can join approved ground-support, mission-analysis or educational activity without becoming scientific dependencies of the Moscow experiments.
Selected Mission Nodes may contribute to approved ground-support, mission-analysis and educational activities around the international campaign, with a pathway into the subsequent MissionLab Challenge and future Digital Twin / KidSAT missions.

Ways an institution can participate
A Mission Node is an institutional participation identity; it does not require a hardware purchase or grant official event status through an EOI.
Operational Mission Node
Selected Pakistani universities with a defined technical role, faculty ownership, rehearsal availability and mission-period participation. Positions for this campaign are limited.
Participant Mission Node
Schools and universities joining selected distributed activities and the later MissionLab Challenge pathway.
National Technical / Strategic Node
National technical organizations contributing bounded expertise, technical observation, evidence support or advice.
International Collaborator Node
Selected international universities and organizations joining controlled distributed MissionLab activity and future institutional collaboration.
Operational Mission Node positions for the ISG campaign are limited and will be reviewed on a rolling basis according to technical fit, faculty ownership, readiness and rehearsal availability.
05 / Continuity
One institutional relationship, distinct programmes
- 01
ISG-linked MissionLab Network
Selected institutions take part in bounded campaign activities. ISG-linked Mission Node participation carries no participation fee.
- 02
MissionLab Challenge
A subsequent, separate fee-bearing programme with its own registration terms, official rules and activation.
- 03
Future KidSAT missions
A later supervised hardware and Digital Twin pathway, available only after its own operating and safety gates.
06 / Take part
Choose the right path into the campaign
The three forms have different purposes. Each begins an expression of interest or early conversation; none collects payment or automatically approves public participation.
Path 01
Institutional Mission Node or technical participation
Open the institutional Expression of Interest form; submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis and do not confer an approved node role.
Path 02
Funding, in-kind, infrastructure, technical or strategic support
Open the partner form to describe a proposed contribution; the programme team reviews it before any partnership is announced.
Path 03
Early school or university interest in the later Challenge
Open the early pre-registration form; formal fee-bearing Challenge registration and terms will be separate.

The next dates
- 10 October 2026Institutional Mission Network Expression of Interest deadline. Operational node submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis.
- 26 October–1 November 2026International Space Games 2026 at the Skolkovo Innovation Center, Moscow.
- After the campaignThe separately governed MissionLab Challenge and future KidSAT pathways continue according to their own terms and readiness.

Frequently asked questions
Does an Expression of Interest make an institution an ISG participant?
No. An EOI does not by itself confer official ISG participant status. Mission Node roles are confirmed separately according to programme requirements and available capacity.
Is there a fee for ISG-linked Mission Node participation?
ISG-linked Mission Node participation carries no participation fee. MissionLab Challenge is a separate later fee-bearing programme with its own registration terms.
Is hardware required?
No. A Mission Node is an institutional participation identity. Future remote KidSAT missions are a later, separately governed extension.
Are the two software experiments live on this website?
No. The MARS-LINK and TWIN-RESILIENCE modules are being developed on the CubeSTEM MissionLab Digital Twin architecture while preserving the scientific protocols defined for ISG. This page is the information and institutional interest entry point.
